Tim leads the strategy team for Slightly Strategic. Their work starts the minute a contract is signed: sitting in scoping calls, pressure-testing whether the client’s target list is actually winnable, then developing the strategy, messaging and campaign themes the team builds and executes against.
He spent close to fifteen years in marketing and strategy consulting before joining us, including five years as a strategy consultant at a global customer-experience agency and earlier enterprise and marketing roles in Australia. His strength is the research end of the work, the customer insight, segmentation and messaging that decides whether a campaign is aimed at the right accounts, and he’s run enough of it to know which version of account-based marketing generates pipeline and which is just demand gen with longer slide decks.
Clients hire Tim when they have a target account list and a mandate to make it work, and they want someone who’s already done the job they’re trying to do. He’s the strategist most likely to tell a client their account list is wrong before agreeing to run a campaign against it.
